Chevron Visit for the Everlasting Elders

Yesterday, 33 of our Everlasting Elders were warmly welcomed to Chevron Australia for a truly special cultural exchange — when our Birdiyas (Elders) meet their Birdiyas (Chevron President and leaders).

The visit began with a warm welcome by Chevron Australia President Balaji Krishnamurthy followed by a guided tour by Jeffrey Farrell of the cultural artwork and installations throughout Chevron’s One Esplanade headquarters, before joining the leadership team for a shared lunch on the 28th floor, overlooking Country.

Our Elders were deeply honoured by the respect shown throughout the visit — from the heartfelt welcome to the cultural response and honouring offered by Chevron’s leadership. These gestures mean so much, reflecting a genuine commitment to walking together in reconciliation.

Moments like this remind us that reconciliation is built through connection — through listening, sharing, and honouring each other’s stories.

Thank you to the Chevron team, Melissa Smith, Ciara Griffiths, Asten Roopra and Dan Holebrook for organising a wonderful day and opening your doors, hearts, and minds to our Elders.
