Help us create real employment pathways for Young Aboriginal Women through Djeelya (pronounced Jeel-Yah).

We invite values-aligned businesses to join our Future Industry Network—an employer community committed to supporting Djeelya participants into safe, meaningful employment when they are ready.

What is the Future Industry Network?

The Future Industry Network is a database of businesses that have agreed to be contacted when a Djeelya participant is employment-ready and has expressed interest in their industry.

HOW IT WORKS
  • You join the network (no obligation to hire).
  • A participant expresses interest in your industry or workplace.
  • Our Youth Empowerment Worker will connect with you to see if there are employment opportunities.
What your business will receive
  • Recognition as a Djeelya Future Industry Network Business
  • Regular updates on the outcomes made possible through your support
  • A trusted introduction to work-ready young women supported by our program team

Djeelya directly responds to Closing the Gap targets by addressing the over-representation of Aboriginal young women in the justice system and the urgent need for culturally safe interventions.

What we ask of a Djeelya Future Industry Partner
  • A willingness to be contacted if a participant expresses interest in your industry.
  • Consideration of suitable candidates when you have a vacancy through your usual recruitment process.
  • A commitment to a respectful, culturally safe workplace environment.
