2025 Smiling Child Recipients
We are delighted to announce this year’s recipients of the Smiling Child Grant award will go to the following primary schools across WA, NT and QLD.

- Crescent Lagoon, Rockhampton, QLD
- Embleton, Bayswater, WA
- Queens Park, Canning, WA
- Southwell, Hamilton Hill, WA
- Millars Well, Karratha, WA
- Tambrey, Karratha, WA
This year we are supporting a total of 10 schools, increased from 5 schools in 2024. This year’s applications were all very compelling with the 10 recipient primary schools demonstrating the greatest need for this academic year. Each school received the $3,000 grant to ensure that no child misses out at school – Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal Children.
Our Smiling Child Program ensures kids—Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal—whose families are doing it tough, don’t miss out on school experiences. It covers additional costs of excursions, uniforms, swimming lessons, and booklists.
There’s no red tape. We work directly with schools. Principals and teachers tell us which children are going to miss out—and we step in.
This support doesn’t just fund a pair of shoes or a book. It funds a sense of dignity and inclusion. It tells a child: you matter.
We want every child to have that moment—that smile of belonging. A smiling child. We can’t wait to scale this program in the year’s to come to create even more smiling faces.
