Aboriginal Education Specialist Engaged

We have engaged an Aboriginal Educational specialist, Dr Mikayla King, who will develop culturally appropriate content for our Certificate 1 in Workplace skills course, through a cultural lens.  This is the core content of our Djeelya program which provides young Aboriginal girls aged 15-18 with an alternative learn to earn pathway.

Dr Mikayla King, a respected Kalkadoon educator, combines traditional knowledge with contemporary teaching practices to create powerful learning experiences.

Her groundbreaking work in culturally responsive education has earned national recognition, and she ensures every aspect of the Djeelya program honors and amplifies Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and learning.
