Everlasting Elders Pamper Day – City of Bayswater – May 2025
On the 7th May, we celebrated our Elders at the first Everlasting Elders Pamper Day of the year.
Thanks to the incredible support of Maurice Meade and the talented students from John Forrest Secondary College, we were able to pamper more than 35 Elders with hair styling, skin and nail treatments, professional makeup — all culminating in a heartfelt afternoon photo shoot.
These Pamper Days are becoming treasured gatherings within the Aboriginal community — not only as an act of respect and care for our Elders, but as meaningful opportunities for connection between generations. They allow both Elders and students to share culture, stories, and kinship in an uplifting and culturally safe space.
A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers from Gallagher Australia, Jacqui Moxham, Tania Sutherland, and the team from Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service — we couldn’t have done it without your energy and support.
We’re also incredibly grateful to the City of Bayswater for once again providing a beautiful civic space and their ongoing commitment to our Elders.
We can’t wait for the next Pamper Day in September at the City of Canning!
